Telephones can be as valuable on a boat as anywhere else. When one thinks of a nautical telephone, the image of an old crank phone generally comes to mind. Nautical telephones do not provide the convenience of simple, easy-to-use, inexpensive, private and generally reliable telephone service to home, office, automobile or other locations, but are generally procured for decorative purposes.
